Dr. Elohor Oborevwori is a public health advocate, and a physician committed to transforming health outcomes in underserved and hard-to-reach communities.
She brings a dynamic blend of clinical expertise, research acumen, and grassroots engagement to her role as a Director at You Matter Charity Foundation.
Her journey spans continents; from medical training in Ukraine to frontline public health work in Nigeria and advanced research in the United States. Elohor has led and contributed to impactful initiatives addressing hypertension, nutrition, infectious disease surveillance, and gender-based violence.
She holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Kharkiv National Medical University, Ukraine, and a Certificate in Professional Epidemiology, along with a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the prestigious Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland.
At Johns Hopkins, she coordinates digital health interventions and community outreach programs, while also serving as a Center Scholar at the Center for Drug Safety and Effectiveness.
Dr. Oborevwori’s work is grounded in data-driven decision-making, stakeholder collaboration, and a deep commitment to equity. She has received multiple honours, including the JB Grant Field Award and induction into the Delta Omega Honorary Society, recognizing her excellence in public health practice.
As Director at You Matter Charity Foundation, Elohor has spearheaded community health outreach programs in Delta State, Nigeria, reaching over 1,200 residents, increasing health service utilization, and securing resources for special needs children. She has led menstrual hygiene education initiatives, HPV vaccination campaigns, and policy advocacy for gender-based violence prevention.
Through her role, she continues to champion inclusive health strategies, amplify community voices, and build sustainable systems that truly matter. Her mission is clear: to make health equity not just a goal, but a reality.
