Medical outreaches across the Senatorial Districts will be carried out yearly.

Areas of focus will be on:

  • Enlightenment programs which will educate people about the need to be immunized against human papilloma virus, hepatitis b virus and importance of regular screening for cancers.
  • Screening for Cancers including Breast Cancer, Prostate Cancer, and Cervical Cancer.
  • Screening for Human Papilloma Virus for adolescents in Secondary Schools which will also be carried out during the medical outreaches. Those who are negative will be given Human Papilloma Virus Vaccine.
  • Screening for hepatitis b virus and administration of Hepatitis B vaccine to those who are negative.
  • Aid women with pregnancy related Acute Kidney Injury, with up to three (3) free dialysis sessions.

The Sustainable Development Goal 3 is concerned with good health and wellbeing for all. This will be a major area of focus of the You Matter Charity Foundation. Her Excellency intends to carry out yearly outreaches to communities across the state. These outreaches will focus on general checks for Hypertension and Diabetes which are very common in middle aged individuals. Also, there are plans to screen for breast and prostate cancers, as we know that early diagnosis is key to improved survival.

Furthermore, the foundation intends to carry out massive testing for Hepatitis B & C with Hepatitis B virus immunization drives for adults who are mostly unimmunized.

Her Excellency plans to conduct annual outreaches to communities, focusing on general checks for Hypertension and Diabetes, as well as screening for breast and prostate cancers. The foundation also aims to conduct testing for Hepatitis B & C and provide immunization drives for adults.

Additionally, they will advocate for routine testing of pregnant women and collaborate with the Ministry of Health to reduce mother-to-child transmission of Hepatitis B. The foundation aims to address the issue of kidney injury during pregnancy and postpartum, which contributes to high maternal and childhood mortality in Nigeria. Lack of awareness and late diagnosis are major challenges, leading to increased morbidity and mortality.

The foundation plans to increase awareness through state-wide campaigns and lectures, provide training for healthcare practitioners, and promote early diagnosis and referrals to treatment centres.

Her Excellency being passionate about the Health of Women and Children as an instrument of building a better society, intends combatting this scourge by increasing awareness of Pregnancy Related Acute Kidney Injury among the masses through state-wide sensitization campaigns and lectures.

These campaigns will be across the twenty-five (25) local government areas of the state to ensure women are enlightened about the dangers of Pregnancy Related Acute Kidney Injury and the need to seek health care early to mitigate the complications of this condition. Along with collaborators in the Ministry of Health, the You Matter Charity (YMC) Foundation will also organize training and retraining of Midwives, Nurses, and other Health Practitioners to identify women at risk and early referral to Secondary and Tertiary facilities.

Most importantly, there are plans to promote early diagnosis and early referrals to treatment centres through provision of access to necessary investigations for women with Pregnancy Related Acute Kidney Injury. We also intend collaborating with willing partners in providing access to Specialist and affordable Dialysis to Women with Pregnancy Related Acute Kidney Injury across the three (3) senatorial district of the state.
