Support for the Vulnerable

Support for Young Girls:

• Awareness Creation
• Establishment of a Data base of young girls on the street.
• Establishment of Transit residences.
• Advocacy to the State Government to include a significant number of these girls in the State Empowerment Programs.

Victims of Substance Abuse – emphasis will be on:

• Advocacy to get other arms of government and well-meaning individuals involved in the fight against substance abuse.
• Advocacy to government to ensure the Drug Abuse Treatment Centre at Kwale is fully completed, equipped, and put to use.
• Enlightenment programs in schools, churches, across social media platforms and on the mass media with the aim of educating young people on the dangers of substance abuse.
• Encouraging schools to establish Substance abuse clubs with the aim of teaching the students about the dangers of Substance abuse.

Her Excellency aims to collaborate with relevant government agencies to address Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and support its victims. Centres for GBV management will be established in Central Hospitals across the state, in collaboration with the Ministries of Women Affairs, Justice, and Health. The foundation will advocate for a budget to cater to the health and social needs of GBV victims, including the establishment of safe houses overseen by a Matron. Admission into the safe houses will be at the discretion of the Foundation, based on recommendations from the Ministry of Women Affairs/Justice.

Her Excellency wishes to state that the selected areas of focus were carefully decided upon after careful study of prevailing issues in the society and in line with the sustainable development goals.

The foundation welcomes contributions and collaborations from well-meaning individuals and corporate organizations as we realize that the task is an onerous one requiring all the support it needs to succeed.
