Dr. Elohor Oborevwori is a public health advocate, and a physician committed to transforming health outcomes in underserved and hard-to-reach communities.
She brings a dynamic blend of clinical expertise, research acumen, and grassroots engagement to her role as a Director at You Matter Charity Foundation.
Her journey spans continents; from medical training in Ukraine to frontline public health work in Nigeria and advanced research in the United States. Elohor has led and contributed to impactful initiatives addressing hypertension, nutrition, infectious disease surveillance, and gender-based violence.
She holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Kharkiv National Medical University, Ukraine, and a Certificate in Professional Epidemiology, along with a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the prestigious Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland.
At Johns Hopkins, she coordinates digital health interventions and community outreach programs, while also serving as a Center Scholar at the Center for Drug Safety and Effectiveness.
Dr. Oborevwori’s work is grounded in data-driven decision-making, stakeholder collaboration, and a deep commitment to equity. She has received multiple honours, including the JB Grant Field Award and induction into the Delta Omega Honorary Society, recognizing her excellence in public health practice.
As Director at You Matter Charity Foundation, Elohor has spearheaded community health outreach programs in Delta State, Nigeria, reaching over 1,200 residents, increasing health service utilization, and securing resources for special needs children. She has led menstrual hygiene education initiatives, HPV vaccination campaigns, and policy advocacy for gender-based violence prevention.
Through her role, she continues to champion inclusive health strategies, amplify community voices, and build sustainable systems that truly matter. Her mission is clear: to make health equity not just a goal, but a reality.
Fluent in English and conversational in Russian, Dr. Elohor Oborevwori is a connector across cultures and disciplines. She envisions a world where every individual, regardless of geography or circumstance, has access to quality healthcare, dignity, and hope.
Barrister Lawrentta Aidevuo Ogbedo is a seasoned legal practitioner, social worker, and project manager whose life and career embody excellence, compassion, and service to humanity.
She currently serves as the Director General of the You Matter Charity Foundation, an initiative of the Wife of the Governor of Delta State, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori. In this capacity, Barrister Lawrentta has distinguished herself as a passionate advocate for the less privileged; women, children, and persons with disabilities—driving community impact projects that touch lives across Delta State and beyond.
She obtained her LL.B (Hons.) in Law from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2007 after completing her studies at the Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus.
She also holds a Diploma in Social Work from the University of Benin and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Law at Delta State University, Oleh Campus.
Her quest for personal development and service excellence has seen her acquire international training in caregiving from the Deer Ridge Training Institute, Scotland, and a Pastries and Bakery Certificate from Temoojee & Co., Seychelles Island.
Over the years, Barrister Lawrentta has garnered extensive legal experience from reputable chambers such as Osagie Obayuwana & Co. in Benin City, Legal Aid in the Republic of The Gambia—where she provided legal representation for vulnerable persons and those with disabilities in juvenile courts, Nwashindi & Nwashindi & Co., and Egodike & Co., both in Asaba, Delta State.
In addition to her legal practice, she was the project manager of Restore Sight Africa Initiative, a non-governmental organization that has successfully reached over 70,000 beneficiaries, provided more than 30,000 eyeglasses, and facilitated over 5,000 eye surgeries across several states in Nigeria. Through this initiative, hope and healing were brought to the underserved and visually impaired.
Barrister Lawrentta is renowned for her excellent communication skills, leadership acumen, and unwavering commitment to social justice and humanitarian service.
