Empowering Nursing Mothers: YMCF Celebrates World Breastfeeding Week 2023

As part of the momentous World Breastfeeding Week 2023, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, the Wife of the Delta State Governor and Founder of the YOU MATTER CHARITY FOUNDATION, embarked on a heartwarming visit to the Nursing Mothers at the Asaba Specialist Hospital.

During her visit, Deaconess Oborevwori passionately enlightened the new mothers about the paramount importance of exclusive breastfeeding for a minimum of six months, emphasizing the significance of breastfeeding anywhere and anytime, even within workplaces.

With boundless love and care, she generously presented various gift items to the nursing mothers, while extending the warmth of her heart to the women and newborns at the Labour and Maternity Wards, ensuring they too received thoughtful gifts.

In line with the foundation’s core belief that “Everybody is Somebody,” this touching event celebrated the essence of motherhood and strengthened the commitment to the wellbeing of both mothers and newborns in Delta State and beyond.
