On Thursday, March 27, 2025, marked a significant milestone in our journey towards creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for children with special needs. On this day, we took a major step forward by strengthening our support for the Care Home at the Joy In Africa Foundation Centre for Special Needs in Asaba founded by Mrs Joy Okonjor.
Our efforts included providing an array of essential supplies such as food items, medications, toiletries, and other necessities to ensure the well-being of the children residing there.
The visit was not just about delivering supplies; it was a reaffirmation of our unwavering commitment to these children and their families. Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, our visionary founder, made a heartfelt pledge to cover the next annual rent of the special needs center. Her dedication and compassion are at the core of our foundation’s mission, inspiring us all to strive for greater impact.
In addition to this generous pledge, we successfully conducted a fundraising initiative. Through the collaborative efforts of our partners and the board members of the You Matter Charity Foundation, we secured donations that will provide long-term support for the Care Home. This initiative is a testament to the power of community and collective action in driving meaningful change.
